ABOUT

A great place to park

Welcome to Capri Club, Eagle Rock’s proud neighborhood aperitivo bar! Join us for our consistently updated and diverse list of amari, aperitivo-focused cocktails, well-rounded wine selection, and classic Italian bar food.  Whether you’re a local looking to share some beers with buds, meeting a date for a crisp martini and some bites, or visiting for the first time curious to try one of our endlessly delicious frozen negronis, we want you to feel like a regular.

It all started when…

Joe and Helen Sams opened The Capri in 1963, a red-sauce Italian restaurant known for good food, reasonable prices, and a cozy place to eat. They ran the restaurant for thirty years before handing over the reins to the Thiels, a local family who were also regulars. The husband and wife duo ran the restaurant until 2006 when their twin sons Jeff and Jim took over the family business. They put their own spin on the menu and concept while operating until 2019, when they retired.

After a major remodel and renovation of the historic space, The Capri was reborn and brought back to life by restaurant industry veteran and Eagle Rock local Robert Fleming.

“Capri” pays homage to the long and storied past of the previous owners, while “Club” denotes social clubs of the 1960s; a place to gather and mingle with friends and community. We hope to see you soon.
